Theme Song

Theme Song is another term for Style or Look:

Pro Street is a theme, while Highboy is a look,

How many looks can I think of….Custom, Nostalgia, newstalgia, resto, high tech, phantom, rat rod, old skool, new skool, any of the Dare to be Different are considered to be themes, styles and looks.  Each reflects a category and holds its own defined parameters.  Each defines or reflects a portion of Hot Rodding that is either race or non-race influenced.

Themes are very important in designing and building a Hot Rod, but one of many things Boyd and other mastercraftsmen in our Industry, Lifestyle and Culture is "Don't mix a Theme" Nothing runs worse than an over cammed, or over carbureted engine so what I have learned is first tune in the garage should be the Theme, then the difficult part of carring it all off come into play.

Use a proffesional artist if you can, or if your artistic draw out your "Theme".  Keeping proportions or a relationship between qualities for balance. keep the rake in mind.  always repeate patterns, by doing so it will assist in tying the vehicle together through shape and the rhythm of details.
